Sales Engineer
Job Description:
Summary
Lead and manage sales activities in the designated territory to the achievement of HBUs sales goals.
Qualification
- Educational requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- working experience required/preferred:
- Minimum of 3 years technical sales experience preferred
- Industry experience would be an asset
- Other Skills:
- Technical aptitude with an understanding of technical and commercial terms (contracts)
- Proficient English communication skills, second language would be an asset (Spanish, German)
- Advanced computer and mathematical skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to travel extensively and outside of regular business hours
- Be available and responsive while travelling
Responsibilities
- to industry specific requirements
- Understand market potential and identify target industries and customers
- Schedule visits to potential customers and maintain close contact with existing customers through regular on-site visits and communication
- Process and manage technical and commercial quotations and orders through quotation software
- Keep quotation software current by updating project status accordingly
- Schedule and manage New Order Sheet meetings
- Participate in on-site customer Kick-Off meetings
- Attend and participate in customer training, sales meetings, trade shows and conferences as required
- Complete and submit customer contact reports
- Interact with the companys affiliates for technical and commercial support
- Work closely with Project Management and Engineering departments
- Work with Marketing to develop customer-oriented data, materials and events
- Prepare equipment reports as required
- Ensure personal expenses are within set budget
- All other duties as requested
