About the job

Our client, an international manufacturer of industrial packaging equipment and customized engineering solutions, is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to manage the West Coast territory.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in technical or capital equipment sales, a solid understanding of engineering concepts, and a talent for developing long-term client relationships.

  • Responsibilities Lead sales activities across the West Coast by offering tailored technical solutions aligned with customer needs
  • Identify market opportunities, target industries, and new potential clients
  • Conduct on-site visits, product demonstrations, and maintain ongoing communication with existing accounts
  • Prepare and manage technical and commercial quotations and proposals using dedicated software
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Project Management teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations and deliverables
  • Participate in customer kick-off meetings, trade shows, conferences, and training sessions

  • Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical or industrial sales (capital equipment, automation, or similar fields)
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to discuss complex engineering and commercial concepts with clients
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the West Coast
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment
